Artist's Comments

This was more of a personal thing for me. Trying to push myself to draw more dynamic poses. The legs are really messed up on some of these, anatomy is crap on most but hey, if you want to use this for a pose reference go right ahead.

All of these are based off photographs I took of my boyfriend's Golden Retriever.

Exclamation.
Some of the days that go by should have exclamation marks after them.
Yesterday had photorealistic houses but painted flames coming from the roofs.
I saw it from up on the hill!

These are really great poses and you kept them in your style. I especially love the one all the way on the right, jumping towards us. It's very dynamic and has great perspective.

That's one happy pup :) Lovely work, it's nice just to flex the fingers and draw something that's entirely for you and no other reason. Sometimes I think we all get a little lost in what *should* be drawn rather than what we want to draw :)

Those are beautiful, Estu. :3 He looks like a happy pup.

Do you think it's good enough to draw from photographs, or do you recommend that people try to draw from real-real life -- like, by sitting somewhere and drawing what's there at the moment?
